President, TPA & MGA Operations, Mackinaw Administrators

Mr. Brown joined AmeriTrust as a result of the Mackinaw Administrators acquisition in 2015. He is responsible for managing and growing the national TPA as well as growing the MGA division Mackinaw Underwriters, promoting all lines of coverage placed by AmeriTrust and its non-Affiliated carrier options.

Prior to this role, Mr. Brown was Senior Vice President of TPA and MGA operations. When Mr. Brown came on board, he had 25 years of insurance industry experience. As a Vice President with Aon, he was responsible for new business development including commercial P&C insurance brokerage, H&B brokerage, and business risk consulting including program analysis and eSolutions risk technologies.

Prior to Aon, he was the marketing manager for a medical cost containment company where he led a team that introduced medical bill review, pharmacy benefit management, automated provider payments, workflow eSolutions, medical case management, and vocational rehabilitation consulting to insurance carriers and self-insured employers on a national basis.

Mr. Brown began his claims career as an adjuster and eventually the claims manager of the Michigan Underground Storage Tank Financial Assurance program. This involved 7,200 environmental remediation claims across the state. In this role, he reported to the Michigan Department of Management and Budget and the Department of Environmental Quality. He assisted the MUSTFA fraud task force by working with the Michigan State Police and Attorney General’s office.

Mr. Brown has a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University, as well as the AIC designation from the Insurance Institute of America. He maintains a Resident Adjuster License and Resident Producer License for the State of Michigan.
